Waiting to Exhale

Sense Of Self, travels to Edinburgh for a five-week exhibition, Waiting to Exhale. The House of Smalls at 103 Henderson Row might be small in space, but it has big things to say, placing emphasis on raising awareness of issues that affect women. Consequently many of the works exhibited are rooted in trauma, illness, recovery and activism, giving women and women-identifying artists a precious platform to exhibit thought-provoking, intuitive and personal works.

Unusually, the gallery (owned and curated by Amy Oliver) offers artists the option to remain anonymous, so that they can be honest and open in their artistic expression without the fear of reprisal.

Sense Of Self is a new work exploring curiosity and intimacy.

The Exhibition runs from 16th May to 20th June with variable times which are published on the gallery’s Instagram.
