Women In Art Fair

Robyn Daly’s work The Chemistry Of Me has been acquired by Christian Levett, who holds one of the world’s largest collections of women’s art, housed mostly in FAMM (Female Artists of Mougins Museum) in Provence, France. It can be viewed online alongside such notable women photographers as Lee Miller, Nan Goldin and Dora Maar.

“It’s great honour to be among these women who I have looked up to in my artistic career,” said Robyn. “And the work that the museum does to bring women’s art to the forefront is extraordinary. Where many women artists lived in the shadows of their husbands or other male artists, often regarded with scorn or disbelief, the collection gives them the light to shine as artists in their own right while also acknowledging the uniqueness of the female gaze and narrative.”

The Chemistry Of Me was photographed in Robyn’s semi-derelict dining room in Ireland. “The floor is rotting so I have to move around the space quite carefully. The photo was taken in the last light before dark and the fire was as much to keep the room warm as it was to shed light on the subject. I used a 26-second exposure.

“Our bodies are chemical entities and I feel completely connected to that chemistry when moving through those long exposures. I want to express that in my photographs and how we are in a constant state of metamorphosis.”

The the work was sold at the Women In Art Fair held at London’s Oxo Tower Gallery from 7th to 10th May 2026. An annual event, it showcases the work of women and women-identifying artists across all mediums from around the world.
